IVU Creator Oxblood Deluxe

Oxblood Deluxe is a tribute to the original Tweed Deluxe 5E3. It is a simple MEDIUM POWERED LOUD AMP to let guitarists hold their own in a small group. As blues, western swing, Western, and rockabilly bands began getting louder, the overdriven tone of a cranked-up Deluxe found its way onto many live and recorded performances. It is relatively small in size, having one twelve inch speaker, four inputs (5E3) and two channels. Each channel has a volume control. Both channels share a tone control. The inputs and controls are mounted at the top of the amplifier. It is often referred to as the "Tweed Deluxe" because of its covering—a light brown material which is actually a cotton twill that is often lacquered.
Oxblood Deluxe has a cathode biased output stage, with no negative feedback. The output valves are driven by a cathodyne phase splitter. These aspects of the circuit make a key contribution to the complex, wild and ragged sound of an overdriven 5E3 Deluxe, especially in comparison to other clean style amplifiers.
Oxblood Deluxe features an AC power switch (115V / 230V) to fit the power requirements of traveling musicians, and offers the ultimate dream: a pedal friendly amplifier.

Control Panel

STANDBY: When the amplifier is on, Standby will mute all audio output from the unit.
• Use Standby during short breaks to avoid the tube warm-up delay upon returning to play.
•Select Standby for the first 60 seconds when switching the amplifier on to extend the life of the tubes.
FUSE: Protects the unit from electrical faults. Replace a blown fuse only with the type and rating specified on the top panel of your amplifier.
POWER SWITCH: Turns the unit on-off as indicated by the power jewel. When this switch is off, the amplifier is completely shut down.
TONE: Adjusts the tone characteristics of the amplifier.
BRIGHT VOLUME: Adjusts the loudness of the BRIGHT inputs.
NORMAL VOLUME: Adjusts the loudness of the NORMAL inputs.
BRIGHT INPUTS: Plug in connections for your guitar. Use input HIGH (full sensitivity) with most guitars. Use input LOW (–6 dB) with high-output/pre-amplified instruments or for a darker tone. The BRIGHT channel provides more treble response than the NORMAL channel.
NORMAL INPUTS: Plug in connections for your microphone or guitar. Use input HIGH (full sensitivity) with most microphones and guitars. Use input LOW (–6 dB) with high-output/pre-amplified instruments or for a darker tone.
